Abstract
High-quality antenatal care (ANC) requires effective interprofessional collaboration among healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive, integrated, and patient-centered maternal services. The implementation of the Indonesian 12T ANC standard involves multidisciplinary contributions from midwives, physicians, laboratory personnel, nutritionists, pharmacists, and nurses. However, evidence regarding interprofessional collaboration in primary healthcare settings remains limited. This study aimed to analyze the implementation of interprofessional collaboration in providing 12T antenatal care at Bangetayu Primary Health Center, Semarang City. A descriptive cross-sectional study was conducted involving seven healthcare professionals directly involved in ANC services and twenty pregnant women receiving antenatal care. Healthcare professionals completed the Assessment of Interprofessional Team Collaboration Scale (AITCS)-based questionnaire, while pregnant women completed a structured questionnaire assessing their experiences of receiving 12T ANC services. Descriptive statistics including frequencies, percentages, means, and domain scores were used for data analysis. The results of the study showed that most healthcare professionals (71.4%) perceived inerprofessional collaboration as high, while 28.6% rated it as moderate. Partnership demonstrated the highest domain score (81.8%), followed by cooperation (77.8%) and coordination (76.6%). Among pregnant women, 80% received comprehensive ANC services categorized as good, whereas 75% reported positive perceptions regarding service integration. Basic ANC components such as blood pressure measurement, weight assessment, and iron supplementation achieved high coverage, whereas psychological screening (45%) and ultrasound examination planning (65%) remained relatively low. This study concludes that interprofessional collaboration in delivering 12T antenatal care at Bangetayu Primary Health Center has generally been well implemented. Strengthening interprofessional coordination, integrated documentation systems, routine multidisciplinary meetings, and comprehensive maternal psychological screening are recommended to further improve the quality of antenatal services.
